AIVIS Wins Minister of Science and ICT Award at Cloud Performance Sharing Conference

AIVIS (CEO Daehong Lee) announced on the 31st that it has been awarded the Minister of Science and ICT Award, marking official government recognition of its achievements in transitioning medical AI solutions to a SaaS model. The company was selected as an Outstanding Project in the SaaS Startup category at the 2025 Cloud Performance Sharing Conference held on the 24th. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). AIVIS received high evaluation for successfully transforming its AI-based pathology image analysis solution, Qanti, into a cloud-based SaaS platform. Notably, AIVIS was the only award recipient in the medical AI solutions sector, underscoring the company’s verified technological maturity and commercialization potential. This recognition stems from AIVIS’s participation in the 2025 Promising SaaS Development and Commercialization Support Program, a government initiative designed to support the development and transition of innovative startup solutions into SaaS offerings. The program applies rigorous evaluation criteria encompassing both technological capability and business feasibility. Through this initiative, AIVIS advanced its AI-driven biomarker quantification solution—previously delivered in an on-premises format—into a scalable SaaS architecture. Representative transformation cases were also presented during the conference. Previously, the solution operated within hospital intranet environments, offering strong security and performance but posing challenges in installation, maintenance, and scalability. In response to the growing adoption of cloud infrastructure in healthcare, AIVIS established a strategic partnership with Naver Cloud and developed a cloud-based SaaS model that preserves high-performance image processing and robust security while significantly improving accessibility. Building on this achievement, AIVIS plans to accelerate its expansion into the global pathology SaaS market. Leveraging its cloud-based platform, the company aims to provide standardized AI-powered diagnostic support services to medical professionals both in Korea and internationally. “This Ministerial Award is a meaningful milestone that validates the sustainability and global competitiveness of AIVIS’s medical AI technology,” said CEO Daehong Lee. “We will continue to focus on the stable operation of our pathology AI SaaS platform and advance our technology further to establish a global standard in the pathology market.”
